KELLIE PICKLER TO PERFORM AT 2015 WINGS OVER WAYNE AIRSHOW
 
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. – Country music star and North Carolina native Kellie Pickler will perform May 16, 2015 as part of the 2015 Wings Over Wayne Airshow and Open House at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.
 
Pickler, a 2006 finalist on the hit show American Idol and winner of 2013 Dancing with the Star, has recorded hit songs such as “Red High Heels” and “Best Days of Your Life.”
 
The Albermarle, N.C. native has won six music awards including 2008 CMT Music Awards Performance of the Year as well as 2008 and 2010 American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Songwriter awards. She has also received award nominations from the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music, Teen Choice and most recently, the American Country Music Association for her video “Someone Somewhere Tonight” which 
featured her Dancing with the Stars partner Derek Hough.
 
Pickler is scheduled to take the stage following the U.S. Air Force Thunderbird 
demonstration on Saturday to conclude the day’s events. 
 
“Through our partnership with the USO of North Carolina, we are extremely excited to announce Kellie Pickler’s performance at this year’s airshow,” said Lt. Col. James Ladd, 2015 Wings Over Wayne Airshow director. “Her concert will be a spectacular way to end the first day of events and send everyone home on a high note.” 
 
The concert is open to the public and free as part of the weekend’s events.
